Our customer from Westcliff, Essex approached us in November with a design idea that they were keen to introduce in their new kitchen/diner for an upholstered kitchen bench. Their house was having some major refurbishment and the kitchen was an important part of this. The aim was to create a cosy and comfortable upholstered seating area in keeping with the room’s soon to be contemporary style.
With the client’s design idea in mind, we then visited the home to discuss how the upholstered kitchen bench would work and how we could adapt the design to fit the area. Our client knew exactly what colour she wanted and was looking for a herringbone pattern to feature at the top of the fluted backs. Together at our office in Fobbing, Stanford le Hope we found an ideal fabric from ROMO that looked great and worked well with a faux leather from Agua Fabrics. A window cushion and scatters were then added to create a perfect finish and inviting space.
With the design & fabrics now confirmed, a final visit was made to the site to take templates of the area then the magic could begin. Our team of upholsterers & seamstress got to work and crafted this beautiful seating which you can see in the photos. The work was then fitted on site across two & a half days. With a few later additions in January of an extra arm and some further scatters the seating is now complete.
We hope you agree that the seating looks truly chic, inviting and a perfect place to sit down as a family.
